  • Bocking Concert Brass is a popular band based in Braintree, Essex.
  • A traditional brass band lineup of instruments is used to perform in a range of styles. Entertainment always comes first - this is not a competition band.
  • A busy season of outdoor concerts starts on Mayday and continues throughout the summer. The band performs its wide repertoire of light music at school and village fêtes, carnivals, concerts, and other public and private events.
  • In the winter season, most concerts are indoors, allowing the band to feature more lyrical music and, of course, Christmas songs and carols.
  • The baton is normally shared between Bandmaster Ken Few and two deputy conductors.

PLAY IN THE BAND!

  • BOCKING CONCERT BRASS has vacancies for brass players of all abilities. No experience is necessary, but an ability to read music is an advantage.
  • Cornet players are especially needed.
  • Band instruments are available on loan.
